JBCC Seminars

As the originator of the JBCC suite of contract documents, the JBCC regularly presents the only authentic and reasonably priced series of courses in their application in the major centres of South Africa – relevant to employers and contractors and members of the professional team including, inter alia, principal agents, architects, quantity surveyors, etc. These seminars are generally presented by Uwe Putlitz, in his capacity as the Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Building Contracts Committee . Uwe, who is a qualified and registered architect and project manager, has played a significant part in the updating of the JBCC documentation and is an acknowledged authority on their contents and the topics to which they relate. Seminars are presented in an interactive manner to encourage delegate participation.

PRINCIPAL BUILDING AGREEMENT and NOMINATED / SELECTED SUBCONTRACT AGREEMENT

This seminar is the essential introduction to the JBCC Series 2000 contract documentation. The Principal Building Agreement is the cornerstone document and sets the parameters governing the primary contractual conditions that are applied throughout the document suite. All developers, professionals, contractors, subcontractors and others related to the building industry will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Agreement which is essential for the practical administration of the contract.
