CPAP Indices

The Contract Price Adjustment Provisions (CPAP) is a method of calculating fluctuations in Costs for building contracts, the contract value being adjusted by the sum of amounts calculated in respect of each payment certificate. The calculation is based in a formula using published indices.

The JBCC CPAP Application Manual aids in the calculation of contract price
adjustments and may be purchased from any JBCC stockist.

The indices produced by Stats SA are made available on an annual
subscription basis.

Note that the subscription period is from March to February for any given year.
