About the JBCC

The Joint Building Contracts Committee, “JBCC”, was formalised in 1997 with the registration of a Non Profit Company. The committee concentrates on the compilation of current contract documentation with an equitable distribution of contractual risk in the building industry. The suite is approved by the CIDB (The Construction Industry Development Board) and is used by national and provincial state sectors.

Regular revisions to the JBCC contract documentation suite ensure that documentation remains .

JBCC also offers the following:

  • JBCC provides a free answer service of queries related to the appropriate use of JBCC Agreements. Such requests may be submitted via Email only – answers are generally processed within 3 working days. Document FAQ's ullet

  • JBCC donates copies of documents to tertiary educational institutions for use by FINAL YEAR students in schools of architecture, quantity surveying, construction management, property studies and structural engineering.
